Preface
I’ve mentioned this before, regarding topics on Reddit.
Whether it’s digital nomadism, passive income, or side hustles, there are a few common and relatively reliable ways to make money online.
One is YouTube videos.
One is WordPress blogs.
One is app click-through commissions (which I’m not entirely convinced of).
My primary source of income is YouTube, and I don’t plan to rely on WordPress blogs.
WordPress isn’t very user-friendly, or rather, it currently doesn’t generate traffic or revenue for me.
But that doesn’t stop me from recommending WordPress websites.
A friend of mine casually wrote an article and linked to a VPS commission link. After a few months, he earned $300 just from commissions.
During this process, he didn’t maintain the blog or article, nor did he pay much attention to it, yet he still made a good profit.
Because it happened to me, it demonstrates the profitability of WordPress websites. As for Google Ads, I only make $0.01 per month.

Why WordPress
Judging from Google Ads revenue, it’s not very profitable.
However, from a content perspective, video content needs to be supplemented and expanded by written content, especially in areas like technology and thinking skills.
Furthermore, the basis for commission-based marketing is URLs. On your own website, you can freely link to any link, unlike Reddit or YouTube, which have word count and content restrictions.
Another aspect is the lottery mindset.
If you want to win a multi-million dollar prize, prayer alone won’t do, and neither will good luck. Even if God truly wants to give you a multi-million dollar prize, you still have to buy a lottery ticket first to have the means and reason to claim it.
The same goes for blogging. I don’t plan to keep it a daily lottery. It might get a few hundred or a few thousand visits and revenue each month, but I’m betting on a chance that it could eventually generate tens of thousands or even millions of dollars in traffic and revenue.
Just keep updating your blog regularly.
The advantage of blogging is that all you need is an internet connection, electricity, and the ability to type. The cost is practically free, whereas lottery tickets require money.
Basically, Google search engines also generate traffic. If you run a YouTube channel, then WordPress is just one of the ways to promote YouTube; it’s still essentially YouTube. From this perspective, other social media platforms like TikTok, Reddit, Instagram, etc. also serve as sources of traffic for YouTube, rather than relying on other platforms for revenue.

tips
I’ve seen a lot of topics on Reddit related to WordPress blogs.
Some people say they’re unsure whether to start a blog this year.
Some say they have a blog but are disappointed with the lack of traffic.
Some claim to earn $1,000 a month blogging and plan to continue expanding and optimizing their blogs.
It’s hard to tell if this is true, but I still recommend starting a blog right away and keeping it updated based on your interests and hobbies.
You’ll reap the rewards: traffic, likes, comments, and income.
