Daily life of a digital nomad: server renewal and blogging

Spread the love

Article History

I just wrote a blog draft using the open source application showdoc, but the content I spent an hour writing disappeared.

It’s really unreliable. I clicked save more than ten times, but it was saved before I wrote a paragraph. I only used the showdoc function because it has git version records, but it’s not reliable at all.

Now I use the local IP to access showdoc. If there is a next time, I will consider switching to an open source text service.

Writing the same content again feels different, I’m too lazy to write it again

Service Renewal

The server expired some time ago, and the domain name also expired.

Data is very important, so I backed up the blog locally in time, even though I am usually lazy.

Revenue

Currently, my main way of earning money is YouTube videos, which earn less than $1 a day.

But when it rains or it is inconvenient to go out, I can’t shoot outdoor videos at home, so I need a way to earn money at home.

I have been writing WordPress blogs for a few months, but I only earn $0.01 a month. It is a long way to go to make money.

But there is no better way at present. From the perspective of content form and long-term, WordPress blogs are a dispensable way. I only hope that there will be search engine traffic in the future.

Tips

My current plan is to write a WordPress blog at home, shoot videos and post them on YouTube

and learn and study SEO for both
